Keeping a little bottle of this homemade chicken seasoning spice blend in the kitchen can sure come in handy on those nights when once again you’re wondering – What can I make with chicken ?? A little sprinkling of this blend can add a flavor boost to even your simplest meals.
This spice blend is a little bit like my homemade Montreal steak seasoning blend in that it starts with salt and pepper and adds in a few more savory ingredients. All these ingredients are frugal pantry items you probably already have in the house too. This blend uses:
- salt
- black pepper
- paprika
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- dried oregano
- dry mustard

All you need to do is gather the needed spices, grab your measuring teaspoon and then mix everything together. It only takes a minute and your blend will be ready to go! I store my blend in a spice jar with a shaker lid (and usually I have one in my stash of recycled jars to use).
And just as we found that our Montreal seasoning worked just as well on chicken as it did on steak, you might find that this chicken seasoning blend works well on other meats you may be cooking or grilling too.
