Chocolate Kiss Acorns
It’s always fun to have something a little special to help enjoy the different seasons as they come and go. When the autumn season comes around, these little candy acorns made from Chocolate Kisses and Mini Vanilla Wafers will certainly add a fun festive touch and they’re so simple to make too!
How To Use Chocolate Kisses To Make Candy Acorns
To make your candy acorns you will need these three ingredients:
- Chocolate Kiss Candies
- Mini Vanilla Wafers
- Mini Chocolate Chips
Once you have your ingredients gathered, it’s time to put them together to make some acorns.
Step 1: The first thing to do is melt some of the chocolate chips to use as the “glue” to hold the pieces together. Take a couple tablespoons of your chocolate chips and place them in a small microwave-safe bowl. Melt in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute, and then stir until smooth.
Step 2: Spread a little bit of the melted chocolate onto the underside of a vanilla wafer. I use a toothpick to do this. Then press a chocolate kiss candy onto the wafer.
Step 3: Use a small dot of the melted chocolate to attach a mini chocolate chip to the top of the wafer.
And once those three pieces are stuck together, you’ve got yourself a cute little acorn! You can make just a few, or make a bunch. It’s up to you!
This project may seem a little fiddly when you first get started. You may also find yourself sorting through your mini vanilla wafers looking for the best ones with no broken edges, and unwrapping a lot of little Kiss candies. But once you get underway and find your groove, it’s hard to stop making acorns. A few dozen will probably appear before you know it!

Chocolate Kiss Acorn Candies
Ingredients:
- Hershey Kiss chocolate candies (unwrapped)
- mini Nilla Wafers
- mini chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Place a couple tablespoons of your mini chocolate chips in a small microwave safe bowl. Then melt in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and then for an additional 30 seconds. Stir until smooth. This will be your "glue" for assembling the pieces in the upcoming steps.
- Spread a little bit of the melted chocolate onto the underside of a mini wafer. (I use a toothpick for this step). Then press a chocolate kiss onto the melted chocolate to attach it to the wafer.
- Next put a small dab of the melted chocolate onto a mini chocolate chip (once again, I like a toothpick for this step), and attach the chip to the top of the wafer.
