Gift Size Pumpkin Nut Bread

During the fall season when all things pumpkin sound just a little more delicious, I often make this pumpkin nut bread recipe that I cut out of the newspaper many years ago. It was called Gift-Size Pumpkin Nut Bread and I often make it in the little tins for gifts. But whatever size pan you make it in, it will always be delicious!

This quick bread batter uses a cup of canned pumpkin with some cinnamon and nutmeg for those traditional autumn pumpkin flavors. The addition of chopped walnuts always adds a nice flavor too. Once the batter is all mixed together, I often divide it between four mini disposable tins that are perfect for gift giving.
But sometimes I just like to make this for our own enjoyment at home too and then I divide the batter between my two old fashioned loaf pans that are about a 7.5″x3.5″ size. This size pan isn’t too common anymore but this one on Amazon is pretty close: 2 pack loaf pans.

And once the bread is all baked, you’ll discover when you slice into it that’s a very moist and dense bread filled with those wonderful pumpkin spice flavors. It does indeed make a very nice homemade food gift and it’s always appreciated!
