1/2of abanana - sliced
1/2cupquick cook oats
2teaspoonsground flax seed(Optional)
2tablespoonsraisins
1cupapple juice
Instructions:
Slice about half of a banana into a microwave safe cereal bowl.
Add the oats to the bowl.
Sprinkle the oats with the ground flax seed, if using.
Sprinkle on the raisins.
Add the apple juice to cover the oats. (You can also use half apple juice and half water if you prefer).
Cook in the microwave for 1 minute and 25 seconds. Then take out of the microwave, stir, and enjoy.
Notes:
The other half of the banana will keep OK in the refrigerator for a day or two. Keep it in the peel and when using again, throw away the first slice you cut which was the exposed edge that can get a little mushy. As times goes along you will probably find there is no need to measure this recipe. Just sprinkle in the amount of oatmeal you want in your bowl, and add the amount of apple juice/water needed to cover the oats.
