Only 2 ingredients are needed for this quick and easy sugar scrub that can be used near the sink for hands or in the shower as a whole body scrub. The sugar provides gentle exfoliating and the coconut oil will leave the skin moisturized.
Author: Beverly
Equipment:
Small mixing bowl and stirring utensil
Small jar with lid for finished sugar scrub (about an 8 oz size)
Materials:
3/4cupwhite sugar
3tablespoonsliquid coconut oil (also called fractionated)
Instructions:
Place the sugar in a small mixing bowl.
Add the coconut oil a tablespoon at a time, stirring after each tablespoon is added to check consistency. (see notes below)
Transfer to a small jar with a lid for storage.
To use: Take a small amount of scrub and rub it around on your wet hands or other body area, and then rinse away with water.
Notes:
I like this mixture with the 3 tablespoons of oil. However if you like a drier scrub, you may wish to stop after 2 tablespoons are added, or if you like a wetter scrub you might even wish to add a little more than the 3 tablespoons the recipe calls for.
