DIY Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray Refill
Refill your empty bottle of Dawn Powerwash dish spray with this simple DIY mixture that's a great money saver too!
Yield: 16 oz
Equipment:
- Measuring Cup
- Measuring Tablespoon
- Funnel (not necessary but very helpful)
- Empty Dawn Powerwash Bottle
Materials:
- 1¾ cups Distilled Water
- 1 Tbl Isopropyl Alcohol (I use 91% strength)
- 4 Tbl Dawn dish soap
Instructions:
- Take the nozzle off the Dawn Powerwash spray bottle that you wish to refill.
- Add the distilled water to the bottle first.
- Next add the tablespoon of Isopropyl Alcohol (also known as rubbing alcohol)
- Then add the 4 tablespoons of the Dawn dish soap.
- If there's still some room in the bottle, you can top it off with some more distilled water.
- Put the nozzle back on the bottle and tip the bottle back and forth to mix the ingredients together.
Notes:
Distilled water is used to help with cleaning power as it is pure H2O with no hard water minerals in it. However you could also just use tap water if you wish.
I prefer the 91% alcohol for extra cleaning strength too, but you could also use the 70% alcohol if that's what you have on hand.
