Red, White & Blue Jars
Add a patriotic touch to your holiday with these simple red, white and blue jars.
Equipment:
- Craft Paint Brush or sponge brush
Materials:
- Mod Podge
- Glass jars
- Epsom salt
- Small battery operated candle
- Red, white, & blue paper napkins
- Twine (I used blue & white baker's twine)
Instructions:
- Open up the napkin so that it is a single layer. Cut it to a size that will cover one half of the outside of your jar. Use the part of the napkin that has the print portion you want to show through on your jar.
- Position the napkin on the back half of the jar so that the design shows through the jar. Brush the mod podge on the napkin to adhere it to the glass jar. Let dry.
- Add some epsom salt to the bottom of your jar (about an inch). Then place the battery operated candle on top of the epsom salt.
- Wrap some of the twine around the top of the jar for decoration.
