Homemade Microwave Popcorn Bags

Do you like the convenience of microwave popcorn packets? It's easy to make your own with a brown paper lunch bag and some popcorn kernels.

Equipment:

  • 1 Brown paper lunch bag
  • Tape
  • Rubberband or string

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup popcorn kernels

Instructions:

  • Place the 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels in the brown paper lunch bag.
  • Fold the top of the lunch bag over twice, using small folds, and tack down with a small piece of tape.
  • Fold the bag into thirds to make it the size of a packet, and then hold it together with a rubber band or a piece of string.
  • To use:  Remove the rubber band or string and lay the bag flat in the microwave. Heat for 2 minutes.
  • Note: You may want to test heating times in your own microwave, starting with shorter times and working your way up from there to avoid any burning.
