Keep a jar of this homemade hot cocoa mix around and you'll be able to quickly stir up a delicious mug of hot chocolate whenever you need a little comfort. This recipe fits in a pint size jar and makes a nice food gift idea too.

Ingredients:
3/4cupdry milk powder
3/4cuppowdered sugar (confectioner's sugar)
1/3cupcocoa powder
1/2teaspooncornstarch
1/4teaspoonsalt
Optional Add-In:
3tablespoonsmarshmallow bits
Instructions:
Mix together in a mixing bowl the dry milk, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
You can also stir in some dried marshmallow bits if you wish.
Transfer the mixture to a jar with a lid. A pint size jar works well for this recipe. (see note below)
To make a mug of hot chocolate: Stir together 3 tablespoons of the mix with 3/4 cup of hot water.
Notes:
You can also double this recipe (to make a 16 serving size batch) and place it in a quart size jar.
