Materials:
1cupvery hot water
3cubesbeef bouillon
1cupquick oats
5tablespoonsbutter
1/2cupmilk
1/2cuppeanut butter
1egg
3/4cupcornmeal
2teaspoonswhite sugar
3cupswhole wheat flour
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the boiling water with the beef bouillon cubes and let the cubes dissolve.
Add the cup of oats and the butter to the beef bouillon water and let it set for a few minute for the butter to melt and the oats to soften.
Add in the milk, peanut butter, egg, cornmeal and sugar and mix well.
Next mix in the whole wheat flour, one cup at a time. For the addition of the last cup of flour, I switched to using my hands to mix it in and to knead the mixture into a soft dough.
Roll out to about a 1/4" thickness and use a cookie cutter to cut out the dough. Lay on ungreased cookie sheets. You can lay them pretty close together as they do not spread out while baking.
Bake for 30 to 35minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
