DIY "Spray Before You Go" Poo Spray
Make your own frugal version of the pre-poo sprays to help stop odors when using the toilet. Simply spray some of the mixture on the toilet water before taking care of business and odors will stay trapped under the barrier created by the alcohol and oils.
Yield: 2 oz
Equipment:
- Spray Bottle (2 oz size)
Materials:
- 1/4 cup witch hazel (or vodka can work too)
- 20 drops essential oil (see notes below)
Instructions:
- Pour the witch hazel into the small spray bottle.
- Add the drops of essential oil.
- Put the spray top back on the bottle and shake lightly to combine the ingredients.
- To use: Spray the mixture about 4 or 5 times onto the water in the toilet bowl before taking care of business.
Notes:
I like to use 10 drops Peppermint essential oil and 10 drops Eucalyptus essential oil.
A drop of food coloring can be added to the mixture to help see the coverage of the mixture on the surface of the toilet water after spraying it on.
