Homemade Soft Scrub Cleaner
Homemade soft scrub cleaner is one of the quickest and easiest cleaners to mix together. It’s a simple combination of baking soda and dishwashing liquid. In fact, after you make it a few times, you might not even need to measure the ingredients anymore!
I like to use a clear dishwashing liquid for this recipe and my favorite is actually a store brand (Meijer Eco Wise in Eucalyptus Lemon). The clear dishwashing liquid keeps this recipe as a nice white paste which for some reason I like better than a blue paste or a green paste if I use other dish soaps.
My favorite places to use this homemade soft scrub? My kitchen sink and my glass stove top. It works great for both those cleaning jobs.
Here’s how to do it:
Homemade Soft Scrub Cleaner
 You Will Need:
1/3 cup Baking Soda
3 Tbl Dishwashing Liquid
Pour the baking soda in a small bowl. Mix in the dishwashing liquid a little bit at a time and stir to mix. You want to have a consistency that looks like cake frosting. You can always add a little more baking soda, or a little more soap, to arrive at the consistency that suits you. If you’re using an unscented dishwashing liquid, you can add a few drops of essential oil for fragrance too.
Store in a covered container. I keep mine in a small Tupperware bowl and it stays good for several months without drying out.

So glad that worked for you Michele! I have only been using this mixture to clean my stove for several months now and have not had any problems. I do find that you need to wipe it off very thoroughly so that no cloudy residue remains, which really does not take that much effort at all.

I'm going to try to remember to save the next little plastic container of honey that I use up. I'm thinking that might be a nice one to use because it's see through. I used up a mustard container the other day and it didn't dawn on me to save it 🙂
