Even though we’re in the midst of a July heatwave, the retailers want us to think about Back to School.  For the next few weeks, there will be lots of awesome bargains in the stores on crayons, pencils, paper, and other back to school goodies.  It’s a great time to stock up!

But all those big bargains last for a just few weeks and then it’s back to reality and paying full price again.  Such is life.

That’s why I love these links for printing your own school papers.  When your bargain supplies are running low, or you find yourself in a pinch for a few pieces of filler paper for a homework assignment, or the kiddos need just a sheet or two of graph paper for a project, you can save yourself a trip to the store and print your own.

Of course, it’s probably not economical to use your printer ink to print reams and reams of your own filler paper – but I like knowing I can print some if I want to.  I’m kind of funny like that :)

The first link is to a wonderful site (donnayoung.org) with all kinds of printable school papers, primarily with homeschooling families in mind.  There’s lots of different styles of penmanship papers and filler papers to choose from:

The second site (printfreegraphpaper.com) lets you print graph paper in different sizes.  How often do you use a whole pack of graph paper anyway?  This seems like a pretty thrifty way to just print a page or two at a time as you need it.

So now you can use the plain paper sitting in your computer printer, and magically turn it into filler paper, penmanship paper or graph paper with a few clicks of your mouse.  Resourceful and easy too!
