I’m so glad I discovered Google Reader. It’s an easy way to follow favorite websites and blogs all in one place. Here’s a peek into some of my favorites blogs in my Google Reader. Now that the Christmas season is upon us, I thought I would share a couple of great Do-It-Yourself posts that I had fun reading this week that could also be used as gift or decorating ideas:
How about this clever idea over at the Saving Your Green blog.? If you want to try a homemade present for some of the little tykes on your Christmas list, you can whip up this DIY Bath Tub Paint. Not only will you find instructions to make the bath paint itself, but a neat idea for the packaging too. So cute!
If you’re gearing up for Christmas decorating, check out this DIY Apothecary Jars Tutorial on the Frugal Upstate blog. By combining glass jars and glass candlesticks, you can make some beautiful pieces for your home. And even better, this project was done completely with glassware found at the thrift store! That’s my kind of project!
(Just a few weeks ago I was crafting with glass jars from the thrift store too and came up with these Chalkboard Paint Jars )
And finally, this post I was reading at the Thrifty Home blog isn’t really a do-it-yourself post, but I’m including it because it helped me keep my focus this week: Bloggers Prayer . You just never know what goodies you will find in your Google Reader!
